BE CAREFUL! When dealing with any decentralized wallet or app, YOU and you alone are in control of your money. When creating a new wallet, NEVER share your private key or recovery seed phrase with anyone. In fact, don’t even copy and paste your seed phrase – only ever write it down or engrave it on to metal.

We will NEVER request a private key or seed phrase from you. PulseXTokens.com was created to increase awareness of PulseChain and grow a strong Pulsican community. NEVER SHARE YOUR PRIVATE KEY OR SEED PHRASE.

Who is this guide for?

This quickstart guide is meant for people who are brand new to cryptocurrencies and PulseChain. Things can seem a little intimidating at first, but don’t worry – like anything it gets easier the more you use the software and tools to interact with the Pulse blockchain.

What is MetaMask?

MetaMask is a non-custodial wallet with the ability to interact with multiple blockchains. The proper way to access the MetaMask wallet is to download the extension to your browser. Browser recommendations are Chrome, FireFox and Brave browsers to interact with MetaMask. The extension is free and secure, and it allows web applications to read and interact with Ethereum’s blockchain.
  • Open a secure browser (Chrome, Firefox, or Brave)
  • Type [Metamask.io](http://Metamask.io) in the URL search bar.

  • Download the latest version of MetaMask according to your operating system.
  • Add the MetaMask extension to your chosen browser.
  • In the top right corner of your browser, a single puzzle piece logo should appear. Click on the puzzle logo and select Metamask.
  • Get started. Select Create new wallet
  • Create a password
  • Create a backup (reveal seed phrase)
  • WRITE DOWN THE SEED WORDS AND SECURE IN A SAFE PLACE.
  • Confirm seeds on the next page by selecting each word in the order they were received.
  • Start using Metamask to interact with your hardware device.

Why is MetaMask the preferred wallet for PulseChain?

The reason that MetaMask is the wallet of choice for the PulseChain Network is that it allows the addition of new blockchains by entering custom RPC settings.

Once you have downloaded the proper MainNet RPC settings, you simply will toggle from the Ethereum MainNet to the PulseChain MainNet to interact with your PulseChain coins and tokens. Will I be able to access my PulseChain coins and PRC tokens if I have them in a hardware wallet? Yes, by using MetaMask and toggling over to the PulseChain MainNet, your hardware wallet will interact with MetaMask the same way that it does now with Ethereum.

NOTE:
Crypto “wallets” (whether they are hardware or software-based) are not actual physical wallets. They are simply “access ports” to the Pulse blockchain. Your coins and tokens are not stored in the wallet, they are always on the blockchain. The wallet is simply a place to interact with, track, and perform transactions what you own on the blockchain.

Changing custom RPC settings:

When you download metamask, it comes preloaded with several blockchain networks. When you do not see the network that you are looking for, Metamask offers a Custom RPC option. This stands for Remote Procedure Call (RPC). By adding RPC information in this field, you can add any network to MetaMask.

You can find the custom RPC information for PulseChain at Gitlab @ https://gitlab.com/pulsechaincom/pulsechain-testnet or by visiting ChainList.org and searching for PulseChain.com and following the prompts to connect your wallet. In ChainList.org, the RPC will autofill once you connect your wallet.

NOTE: This is for PulseChain TestNet (MainNet will be added when info is known)
Once you get PulseChain MainNet successfully added to your MetaMask account, you simply toggle between PulseChain and Ethereum networks.

Again, Once PulseChain launches and goes live, all MainNet information will be updated.

Follow these instructions to manually add the new Testnet to your Metamask browser extension. A button will be available in the future to do this automatically.

1. Click the Networks dropdown and select “Custom Network”

2. Enter the following information and save (all values below are new):

  • Network Name: PulseChain Testnet 2b
  • New RPC URL: https://rpc.v2b.testnet.pulsechain.com
  • Chain ID: 941
  • Currency Symbol: tPLS
  • Block Explorer URL: https://scan.v2b.testnet.pulsechain.com

What is PulseX?

As the Ethereum ecosystem will be copied over to Pulsechain, PulseX will be the fork of Uniswap.

It is intended to be the main DEX of the Pulsechain ecosystem. For reference, PancakeSwap is also a fork of Uniswap and achieved this analogous function on Binance Smart Chain.

DEXs like SushiSwap and Uniswap have their own governance tokens—SUSHI and UNI, respectively—which grant voting rights to holders. PLSX will be PulseX’s token, and people who sacrificed get a number of “points” based on the size and timing of their contribution. These points correspond to a quantity of PLSX to be airdropped to their wallets once the exchange launches.
